My cooking focuses on using healthy, whole foods to create nourishing recipes that are loaded with flavor. You can see some of my recipes, and sign-up for my latest classes or cleanses on my blog, Urban Sacred Garden.
As a basic rule, healthy food should taste good. I believe that food is our best medicine, and that it is one of the most powerful wellness tools to heal the body. For me, cooking is a sacred practice. When we eat wholesome food, and mindfully prepare it with love, we can heal every molecule of our being.
Contrary to popular belief, eating healthy does not mean you have to go without. I focus on finding a practical balance between healthy choices and eating fulfilling and delicious foods. I’m not a vegan, vegetarian or even gluten-free, but I am a big proponent of clean eating practices. I provide teaching options around all of these dietary choices, but also include meat, dairy and grains to create balanced diet plans and promote wellness.

Each Fall and Spring I co-host a 10-Day Ayurvedic cleanse with my dear friend, Shelby VanCleve, an acupuncturist at Common Ground Wellness. An Ayurvedic style cleanse helps to detox the body, promote immunity and renew and restore your body’s natural healing state.
